A serious road accident occurred on the highway connecting the cities of Adana and Gaziantep in southern Turkey, resulting in 7 deaths and 11 injuries. The incident happened when a bus violently struck a truck parked on the side of the road, after the truck driver was forced to stop due to a tire explosion. The impact completely destroyed the front part of the bus. All the victims were on the bus, and the injured were transported to hospitals in Osmaniye province.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the accident, including the speed of the bus and possible driving errors. A survivor stated that they noticed suspicious behavior from the driver, who accelerated after a stop to fix a flat tire. Additionally, the truck driver has been detained for questioning. The police have closed traffic in the area to allow for the investigation to take place.
