Saudi Arabia is considering repaying Syria's debts to the World Bank, which would pave the way for approving grants to rebuild the country and support the public sector. This would be Saudi Arabia's first funding to Syria since the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime. Recent talks between Syrian officials and the World Bank also suggest possible future collaboration as Syria faces major financial difficulties.
