Ryanair is accused by the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM) of abusing its dominant position, through a strategy aimed at hindering travel agencies' access to its services. Between April 2023 and April 2025, the Irish airline implemented measures that blocked or complicated the purchase of Ryanair flight tickets on its website by agencies, affecting their ability to combine flights with other travel services.

This practice has reduced competition in the market, according to AGCM. In the past, Ryanair was fined three million euros in Italy for its cabin baggage charging policy. Additionally, the company now threatens to cut 20 routes from Europe, criticizing the increase in the air tax by the Belgian government.
