The Ruwais refinery, one of the largest in the world, suspended production on Tuesday following a drone attack, according to a source close to the situation. The attack is part of a series of responses from Iran in the context of the conflict with the United States and Israel, targeting both American interests and civilian infrastructure. The refinery, operated by the national company Adnoc, halted operations as a precautionary measure after fires were reported in the industrial area.

Concerns were also expressed by Amin Nasser, the head of Aramco, who highlighted the negative impact on global oil markets and the importance of resuming maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. Oil prices fluctuated significantly, rising by 30% before falling. Qatar and other monarchies in the Persian Gulf have warned about the global repercussions of Iranian attacks, which affect the energy sector and export capabilities. Companies in Qatar and Kuwait have suspended or reduced production, and similar attacks have also occurred in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, affecting Aramco's operations.
