Mihail Nikolaevich Shabunin, a 30-year-old Russian citizen, has been identified as a suspect in the case of the murder of three employees of the shooting range 'Česka Zbrojevka' in Danilovgrad, Montenegro. Local authorities stated that, after committing the crimes, the suspect fled and was located in a wooded area near the town of Herceg Novi.
On Tuesday, when the police surrounded him, Shabunin opened fire on the officers and committed suicide. The victims were all from Montenegro and were at work unarmed.
The police found the vehicle used by the suspect to leave the crime scene and initially warned the population to stay indoors. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the incident, and Prime Minister Milojko Spajic declared days of national mourning in memory of the victims.
