A Russian SVETLYAK-class guard vessel illegally entered Estonian territorial waters and remained there for about 35 minutes. The incident was confirmed by the Estonian Defense Forces, which pointed out that the vessel had penetrated 500 meters inside the maritime borders. The Estonian foreign ministry summoned a Russian diplomat to convey an official protest, emphasizing the seriousness of the violation. This is the first naval violation of its kind, but Russia has entered Estonian airspace twice before this year.
