The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, announced that Russia will continue the war against Ukraine until the objectives set by President Vladimir Putin in June 2024 are achieved, which include the unconditional surrender of Kyiv.

In a press conference, Lavrov emphasized that Putin demanded the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson, the recognition of these territories and Crimea as Russian, blocking Ukraine's accession to NATO, and its demilitarization.

Lavrov accused Western countries of mimicking peace negotiations and stated that all previous agreements regarding Ukraine have been destroyed by the West, thus exhausting Moscow's goodwill reserves.

The Kremlin emphasized that the cessation of hostilities will only occur after all the mentioned conditions are met.
