Kirill Dmitriev, special representative of the President of Russia, warned the European Union not to provoke U.S. President Donald Trump and requested the withdrawal of the 13 European soldiers from Greenland. Dmitriev emphasized that the European military presence could lead to increased tariffs by the U.S. In the context of tensions generated by European military exercises in Greenland, European leaders stated that these activities are necessary for security in the Arctic and do not pose a threat. Trump announced a 10% tariff on imports from eight European countries, which will increase to 25% starting June 1, until the negotiations for the purchase of Greenland are completed. He also criticized Europe's intention to deploy its forces in the area, considering it a "dangerous game."
