The Russian Foreign Ministry has advised Russian citizens to avoid traveling to Germany, citing ongoing violations of human rights in that country. Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that the recommendations are available on the official websites of the ministry and Russian diplomatic missions. Zakharova emphasized that these warnings are also relevant for journalists intending to travel to Germany.

In the context of tensions between Russia and Germany, German authorities summoned the Russian ambassador following a cyber attack attributed to Russia. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz warned that Putin will not stop his aggression, comparing the current situation to events in 1938.
