An Israeli-Russian freelance journalist, Nick Koliohin, was removed from the plane of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu just minutes before takeoff, during a trip to the USA. Agents of the Israeli security service Shin Bet cited 'security reasons' for this decision.

Koliohin, who collaborates with Russia Today and other media organizations, stated that he had initially received approval to accompany Netanyahu, but was removed following a last-minute security check. The Prime Minister's office confirmed that such decisions are made to protect both the Prime Minister and national security. The journalist criticized the process, questioning why the checks were not conducted earlier.
