Last night, Russia announced that it had intercepted 35 Ukrainian drones heading towards the capital, leading to the temporary closure of Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo airports. Russian official Sergei Sobyanin said emergency services were being deployed to deal with the debris. These drone strikes are part of an ongoing conflict in which Russia and Ukraine engage in frequent air strikes despite international efforts to mediate a ceasefire.
