Russia has adopted a new measure that allows telecommunications operators to disconnect users from the internet and communications at the request of the FSB, without requiring court orders or explanations. This decision, considered a form of control and repression, has been reported by the National Resistance Center of the SSO of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the measure will allow for selective disconnection of activities and blocking of information channels, creating "silence zones" to isolate the population from the truth. Additionally, the Russian occupiers confiscate television antennas and distribute propaganda kits. Internet disruptions have become a common practice in Russia, and the Ministry of Digital Development has created a "white list" to maintain the operation of essential services during these disruptions.
