Russia's Foreign Ministry said that the unilateral moratorium on the deployment of short- and medium-range missiles is no longer valid due to the deployment of US missiles in Europe and the Asia-Pacific. The decision comes after the US withdrawal from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty in 2019 and reflects a reaction to what Moscow sees as destabilizing actions by Washington and NATO.
