Serghei Lavrov, the Russian foreign minister, stated that Russia has no intention of attacking Europe, emphasizing that there are no reasons for such an attack. Instead, Lavrov mentioned that in the event of an attack from Europe, Russia will respond.
"We will not attack any part of Europe. We have absolutely no reason to do so. And if Europe decides to implement threats to prepare for war against us and starts to attack Russia, the president has stated that it will not be a special military operation on our part, but a large-scale military response, with all available military means," said Serghei Lavrov in an interview.
President Vladimir Putin reiterated that Russia is not at war with the West, but that the West is fighting against Russia through Ukrainian nationalists. He also warned that Russia is prepared to respond immediately in the event of an attack from Europe.
