On Wednesday, Russia and Ukraine carried out a new prisoner exchange, with each side repatriating 103 soldiers.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the repatriated Russian soldiers are currently in Belarus, where they are receiving medical and psychological treatment before being transferred to Russia.

Prisoner exchanges have occurred regularly throughout the four and a half year conflict. The United Arab Emirates mediated this repatriation, similar to previous exchanges.

According to Ukrainian authorities, over 15,000 civilians and approximately 7,000 Ukrainian soldiers are held in Russian prisons.
