Russia accuses Ukraine of attempting to sabotage negotiations for an American peace plan, claiming that the new version of the document is fundamentally different from the one previously negotiated.

Russia has launched severe accusations against Ukraine, considering it responsible for sabotaging negotiations for an American plan aimed at ending the conflict. The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Sergei Ryabkov, stated that the new version of the plan proposed by Kiev is radically different from the one previously discussed with the American side. Ryabkov emphasized that the political will of both parties will influence the ability to reach an agreement, mentioning that Ukraine and its supporters in the European Union are not in favor of a compromise.

He warned that without an approach that addresses the deep-rooted causes of the conflict, a final agreement will not be possible. At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky presented a new version of the American plan, which proposes stabilizing the front line but does not offer solutions for territorial disputes and abandons important demands from Moscow. Ryabkov reaffirmed Russia's position, considering that the current proposal is unacceptable.
