The new Prime Minister of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, announced on Wednesday that he had a phone conversation with American President Donald Trump, in which they addressed the issue of visa-free travel for Bulgarian citizens in the USA.
Radev emphasized the importance of eliminating visa requirements and requested that this issue be treated with urgency. The Prime Minister also mentioned that he discussed with the American Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, about the stationing of American military tanker planes at Vasil Levski Airport in Sofia, awaiting a request for an extension of their stay.
Additionally, Radev presented the government's plan for administrative reform, announcing the establishment of a Council for Administrative Reform, which will aim to improve efficiency and reduce public spending, without affecting administrative capacity or causing mass layoffs.
