President Nicușor Dan declared that Romania will not pay the sum of one billion dollars requested by Donald Trump for countries wishing to join the Council for Peace, with permanent status, in the next three years. During a ceremony dedicated to the Union of the Romanian Principalities, Dan emphasized that, at present, there are no discussions about paying this fee. He mentioned that the invited countries will benefit from this status for a period of three years, after which the situation will be reassessed. Additionally, the analysis of this proposal is currently underway at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which deals with the international treaties signed by Romania.
