A lawyer from Minnesota has become the oldest American athlete to participate in the Winter Olympics.

At the end of the men's curling match between the USA and Switzerland, Rich Ruohonen, 54 years old, stepped onto the ice as a substitute, becoming the oldest person to compete for the USA at the Winter Olympics. Although his team was trailing 8-2, Ruohonen made a good shot, receiving applause from fans and teammates.
