Renault Group was sanctioned after the Competition Council of Romania penalized eight companies, including Automobile Dacia and Renault Technologie Roumanie, for anti-competitive practices in the labor market, known as "no-poaching". These companies were fined a total of 32 million euros, with Dacia receiving 81.5 million lei and Renault Technologie Roumanie 46.3 million lei. The authority found that the involved firms agreed not to compete for the recruitment of qualified employees, thus limiting labor mobility and pressure for wage increases. Renault Group stated that it fully cooperated with the authorities and reaffirmed its commitment to complying with competition rules and ethical practices. The investigation began in 2022, following information received on the Competition Whistleblower Platform.
