Traffic jams on the Crimean Bridge, which connects the annexed peninsula to Russia with the mainland, have reached a record number of 2,800 vehicles, with delays of over five hours.
According to information on Telegram, there are 1,000 vehicles at the Taman checkpoint, and 1,800 at Kerch, with a waiting time of nearly five hours. The blockage began to worsen on Thursday evening when tourists attempted to cross the bridge in both directions. The queue of vehicles leaving the peninsula, affected by Ukrainian attacks, is nearly twice as long as that for entry.
This traffic jam is the largest of this year, surpassing the previous record of 1,000 vehicles.
The peninsula is facing constant attacks, affecting energy infrastructure and causing a fuel crisis, while Ukraine aims to logistically isolate the area from Russia.
