This year, Americans spent a record $11.8 billion on online shopping for Black Friday, representing a 9.1% increase compared to 2022, according to Adobe Analytics data. Estimates for the following weekend indicate spending of $5.5 billion on Saturday and $5.9 billion on Sunday, with annual increases of 3.8% and 5.4%. Salesforce reported total spending of $18 billion, up 3%, particularly for clothing and luxury accessories. Although the value of the shopping cart has increased, consumers purchased fewer products due to inflation. In physical stores, traffic was moderate, and shoppers were cautious. Cyber Monday is expected to generate online spending of $14.2 billion, 6.3% more than last year.
