Qatar is signaling its intention to host the 2036 Olympic Games, with 95% of the necessary sports infrastructure already in place, according to Qatar Olympic Committee President Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani. In addition to Qatar, other countries such as Indonesia, Turkey, India and Chile have expressed their desire to host the competition. Qatar is planning a sustainable legacy and will host the Asian Games in 2030. Other possible bids include Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Egypt and others.
