In a live government meeting, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia is prepared to expand the territories conquered in Ukraine, in the event that Kiev does not accept the plan proposed by the United States. Putin claimed that this plan could serve as a basis for a peaceful solution, but emphasized that it has not been concretely discussed with Moscow. He accused Ukraine and its European allies of having illusions about a strategic defeat of Russia on the battlefield, warning that, in the event of a refusal, Russia will achieve its objectives through military force.
