During a meeting with the governor of the Sakhalin region, Valeri Limarenko, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russians have the 'genetic code of a winner', highlighting their attitude towards victory.

This statement is not new, as Putin previously mentioned in 2017 that this 'code' includes a care for the homeland and loyalty. After the invasion of Ukraine, he emphasized that Russia will win the war if Russian society strengthens. However, recent polls show that over 60% of Russians are tired of the war and want peace negotiations.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented that Putin does not know how to end the conflict without achieving a major victory, suggesting possible attacks on the Baltic states. This dynamic reflects the growing tensions and uncertainties regarding the future of the conflict.
