In a recent statement, Vladimir Putin asserted that Russia will achieve its objectives in Ukraine, regardless of the means used, whether diplomatic or military. He emphasized the importance of expanding the "security buffer zone" in Ukraine and accused European leaders of indoctrinating the population with unfounded fears related to a war with Russia.
Putin mentioned that, although he prefers diplomatic solutions, Russia will resort to military actions if discussions are not substantial. Currently, Russia controls Crimea and large parts of the Donbas, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions, and his comments suggest an intention to gain some additional territorial gains. He also dismissed the idea of a real threat from Russia to Europe, considering it a "lie" deliberately fueled by European leaders.
