Russian President Vladimir Putin has been informed about the open letter from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which proposes a meeting to discuss ending the war. The Kremlin's spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, stated that Putin received the written version of the letter, which was published in the media.
Zelensky warned that Ukraine is prepared to continue fighting if no agreement is reached. Reactions from Russia have been critical, with nationalists and pro-war bloggers considering the letter a public relations maneuver, lacking authentic diplomacy.
Rybar, an influential military blogger, accused the letter of containing only accusations. Other commentators pointed out that a meeting between the two leaders would only be possible after the parties reach a compromise, given the current deadlock in negotiations. Zelensky rejected the Kremlin's conditions, considering them equivalent to a capitulation.
