Russian President Vladimir Putin declared on Friday that he is ready to end the war in Ukraine through peaceful means, but emphasized that he does not see Ukraine prepared for negotiations. During his annual press conference, he boasted about the progress of the Russian army and stated that his troops are advancing on all fronts. Putin blamed the Ukrainian authorities for the conflict and claimed that he does not consider himself responsible for the deaths caused by the war.

He also threatened severe consequences in the event of the use of blocked Russian assets to finance Ukraine. Despite economic difficulties, Putin promised that Russia's objectives in Ukraine will be achieved, either through diplomacy or military force. At the same time, he listened to the grievances of citizens facing social and economic issues and promised to address these matters.
