Putin stated that Russia has gained almost 5,000 square kilometers of territory in Ukraine, which represents 1% of the country's area, bringing Russia's total control to nearly 20%. He claimed that Ukrainian forces are retreating on the front, despite attempts at resistance. Putin reiterated that Russia's objectives remain the same: the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.
