Vladimir Putin said NATO is provoking a global arms race, announcing the strengthening of Russia's nuclear triad with modernized bombers and ballistic missiles. He criticized NATO members' military spending and dismissed accusations of a threat from Russia, calling the claims "horror stories". Putin also announced the formation of a new drone force and warned of tensions in the Middle East. Russia will continue its military build-up, including the production of new ballistic missiles, as nuclear arms reduction agreements near expiry.
