In Bulgaria, demonstrators gathered in cities such as Sofia, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo and Iambol, protesting against the adoption of the euro planned for January 1, 2026. People are demanding a referendum and the resignation of the government, fearing the euro will affect living standards and economic sovereignty. The protests, organized by nationalist parties, continue to draw attention to corruption and political instability in the country, with calls for early elections.
