The heir princess of Spain, Leonor, at the age of 20, has successfully completed parachutist training at the 'Mendez Parada' Military Parachuting School in Alcantarilla Air Base, Murcia, according to an announcement made by the Royal House in Madrid.

Leonor performed several jumps, including a night jump, and received the parachutist diploma and the 'Cazador Paracaidista' badge alongside 50 other colleagues. This training is part of the princess's military preparation at the General Academy of Aeronautics and Astronautics, where she is in her final year of training to become an officer. The military training will prepare her for the role of supreme commander of the Spanish Armed Forces. Leonor began her military career at the Military Academy in Zaragoza and completed a training cruise in the Spanish Navy. She also made her first solo flight with an airplane. Although she is considered shy, she is described as balanced, determined, and well-organized, having an excellent physical shape.
