The American administration is pressuring Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to publicly condemn the actions of the settlers in the Palestinian village of Qusra, where families have been blocked for nearly a week. This reaction came after it was revealed that one of the besieged homes belongs to a Palestinian with American citizenship.

U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee, known as a supporter of the settlements, condemned the actions of the settlers, calling them "Israeli terrorists," and called for intervention from the Israeli authorities. Netanyahu has not yet reacted, and his position is complicated by the parliamentary elections on October 27, in which his coalition includes pro-settlement right-wing parties.

France has also called for the arrest of the settlers involved in the violence. In the context of rising tensions, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz proposed transferring legal responsibility for the settlers from the army to the Israeli Police, which was condemned by the Palestinian Authority as a step towards expanding Israeli control over the territory.
