In Berlin, tens of thousands of families have been left without electricity and heating after unidentified individuals set fire to several cables last week. The city's mayor stated that this incident is an act of terrorism, attributing the attack to a left-wing extremist group. The investigation is being coordinated by the Berlin police, internal intelligence services, and federal authorities.
Officials estimate that the power supply will be restored by Thursday for the 30,000 affected families and businesses. The power outage occurred in the middle of winter, also affecting heating systems, in conditions where the city is covered in snow and temperatures are nearing zero degrees.
