The pontiff condemned the aggressors who initiate conflicts and reiterated that God's heart suffers from violence and injustice.

He emphasized that God is with the humble and the meek, promoting love and peace. During a meeting with participants at the Plenary Assembly of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, the pope discussed the concept of legitimate power, highlighting that authentic democracy recognizes the dignity of every person. However, he warned that without a moral foundation, democracy can become a tyranny of the majority or a mask for the domination of elites.
