Poland has announced that it has reached the full operational capacity of its Patriot air defense system, a significant moment for the national defense strategy, according to the Minister of Defense, Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz.

At a ceremony held at the 3rd Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade in Warsaw, he emphasized that the activation of the Patriot batteries, part of the "Wisla" program, marks a "historic moment" for national defense. The program includes 48 Patriot launchers that will be delivered between 2027 and 2029, integrating F-35 aircraft into a unified defense network. The U.S. Ambassador to Poland, Thomas Rose, praised Poland's progress, mentioning that it has an advanced operational system based on IBCS, even before the United States. However, he warned about the threats in Poland's neighborhood, emphasizing the importance of a realistic assessment of security.
