The crash occurred Saturday afternoon near the town of Krimml, and authorities have not confirmed the type of aircraft involved. The impact sparked a fire and the plane landed on uneven ground, spreading the fire into the nearby forest. Although the weather was fine, emergency crews were mobilized to extinguish the blaze.
