Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has begun an official visit to India to strengthen bilateral relations, including joint military maneuvers in the South China Sea. Marcos Jr. will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu, and later meet technology entrepreneurs in Bangalore. India and the Philippines are seeking to cooperate in the face of common challenges, including tensions with China, which claims almost all of the South China Sea.
