The Pentagon, through the Office of Artificial Intelligence, has signed agreements with leading companies such as Anthropic, Google, OpenAI and xAI, each contract worth up to $200 million. These initiatives aim to boost AI capabilities to more effectively address national security concerns. xAI, owned by Elon Musk, will provide a dedicated version of its artificial intelligence, Grok for Government.
