During a visit to Extremadura, Sánchez stressed that although the heat wave is over, firefighters continue to fight fires. He stressed the need for better preparedness to deal with the effects of climate crises, which are becoming more frequent. The prime minister promised a national plan to combat climate change and called for climate policies to become state priorities, independent of political cycles.
