Speaking at a UN conference, Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa said Hamas must relinquish control of Gaza and surrender its weapons. He emphasized that the Palestinian state is the only one with the right to govern the Gaza Strip and called on Israel to withdraw completely. This demand is not new, with President Mahmoud Abbas having previously made similar statements, emphasizing his rejection of violence and terrorism.
