In a lawsuit filed in federal court, OpenAI is seeking punitive damages and an injunction against Elon Musk, accusing him of press attacks and damaging campaigns. Musk, the co-founder of OpenAI, tried to block the company from becoming a commercial entity and made a $97.4 billion takeover offer, which was rejected. OpenAI points out that Musk did not tolerate the success of the company he abandoned, subsequently launching his own artificial intelligence firm, xAI.
