Northvolt Drei is the name of the Swedish company's third battery cell plant, the first in Germany. The investment will amount to €4.5 billion, of which a significant part, around €700 million, will be paid out as state aid. The plant will use wind power produced in the area and will have a production capacity of 60 GWh, with an estimated 3,000 employees.
