The unprecedented heatwave is hitting the Nordic countries, with temperatures soaring above 30°C and the longest heatwave since 1961. Norway, Finland and Sweden have reported consecutive days of extremely high temperatures, with effects on public health and infrastructure. Climate change is contributing to the intensification of these extreme events, and researchers warn that such heat waves will become increasingly frequent and severe.
