The overnight attacks took place in Zhob and Loralai districts while buses were traveling from Quetta to Punjab. Bodies were found along the highway and officials suspect Punjab passengers were targeted. Pakistan's president, Asif Ali Zardari, condemned the attack, attributing it to the Baloch Liberation Army, although the group denied responsibility. Balochistan is known for separatist activities and attacks on civilians.
