Nigel Farage, the leader of the far-right Reform UK party, announced that he will resign from his position as a Member of Parliament but will run in the by-elections to allow voters to judge whether he is guilty of the recent revelations by the British press, according to Reuters and BBC, cited by Hotnews.

Farage criticized the media's intrusion into his personal life and accused traditional parties of attempting to block the rise of his party. His announcement comes in the context of a parliamentary investigation into a £5 million donation received from billionaire Christopher Harborne, which Farage claims was intended for his personal security.

He has also been accused of receiving gifts from George Cottrell, who was convicted of fraud. Farage denies any wrongdoing and states that he is "constantly attacked, both physically and verbally," according to his statements.

He has been the MP for Clacton since 2024 and has had a 15-year career in the European Parliament.
