<p>The march, organized by the nationalist Law and Justice opposition, drew thousands of participants, waving Polish flags and supporting conservative candidate Karol Nawrocki. He stressed the importance of sovereignty and a secure future for Poles. The presidential election will take place on 18 May, with a possible second round on 1 June, where Nawrocki will face pro-European candidate Rafal Trzaskowski. According to organizers, 100,000 people took part in the march, while the Warsaw city hall estimated the number of participants at 20,000. The march was also organized to mark the 1000th anniversary of the coronation of Poland's first king.
