The 'Morning Midas', a 183-meter-long ship, sank 667 km offshore after a fire and severe weather conditions. It was carrying 70 electric vehicles, 681 hybrid cars and more than 2,000 conventional vehicles, as well as 1,800 tons of naval fuel, posing pollution risks. All 22 crew members were rescued. The fire has raised concerns about the safety of transporting electric vehicles, given the dangers of lithium-ion batteries. Investigations are ongoing to determine the causes of the incident.
