The Gazprom-controlled Moldovagaz will lose control over Moldova's gas infrastructure, with Energocom becoming responsible for delivering gas to households from August 2025. Prime Minister Dorin Recean announced that Energocom has already purchased more than 50% of its gas needs for the cold season. Electricity tariffs are also expected to decrease due to lower energy purchases at lower prices and increased use of renewable energy. ANRE will analyze drafts to approve regulated tariffs for electricity supply.
