Gov. Tate Reeves of Mississippi has approved the deployment of about 200 National Guard troops to Washington to support President Trump's efforts to restore order. The action follows similar announcements in Ohio, West Virginia and South Carolina. While the president has emphasized the need to maintain order, the Washington mayor has disputed claims of an increase in violence, saying it is at its lowest level in three decades.
